NDSU Alumni Center Wedding | Casey + Carissa | Fargo Photographer Kris Kandel

Casey & Carissa’s (see their engagement session here) wedding day dawned with a downpour. I was very thankful that they had chosen the NDSU Alumni Center as their venue in Fargo because I knew it had a whole wall full of windows and neat little corners we could use inside!

I arrived just as Carissa was finishing up her makeup. After she got into her dress we headed downstairs for the first look – where we were met at the foot of the stairs by those two crazy groomsmen. : )

After the first look we found a plain wall with a cute bench to start off the portrait time!

Then headed over to the doors.  Love the image of them sitting there! The downpour turned to a very light drizzle so we stepped outside for a quick few minutes too!

The Alumni Center has this amazing upper room that opens up into a balcony that overlooks the main floor.

I put up my external flash to bounce on the ceiling behind them, really making the couple the focus of these images. Very romantic!

Another quick  minute outside between the light rain.

Love this one! And if you look closely you can see a few raindrop streaks in the background. You guys were good sports about it all!

The Bride & Groom’s daughter was the flower girl so of course we had to get a few of them together!

Because of the rain the outdoor  garden ceremony was moved inside the Alumni Center to the top floor. It was pretty crowded but that only made it feel more intimate.

For the first dance after a minute they included their two kids. First dance as a family.
