Last Friday was my first 2016 wedding of the season (well, I guess I did one wedding the first week of January but that seems more like last year’s season, lol!). I drove up to Grand Forks and headed over to Rosala’s apartment to get some getting ready photos.

How cute is her apartment setup! Love all the plants and lights everywhere!

Then we headed down to University Park for the first look and bridal portraits.

You can just tell in Alec’s face that he is smitten with Rosala! How sweet is this first look?!!

I was really excited to find the apple blossoms in Grand forks were still in bloom. In Fargo they had faded away already. But what a perfect spring backdrop for wedding photography!

The little ring bearer and flower girl were so cute playing around while we did photos!

Beautiful burgundy bridesmaids!

The best man was the twin brother of the groom so of course we had to have some fun with that!

Some of my favorite photos to take at every wedding are the groomsmen harassing the groom. The laughter is always contagious!

More apple blossoms please!

I asked the wedding party to shake the tree and rain petals down over the couple, how fun are these?!!

After family photos we headed back to the church were I did detail photos as the couple hid from guests arriving.

With two “K’s” in my name (ie: www.kriskandel.com )  I might just be a little bit partial to the letter “K” So photographing the rings on a golden one was pretty fun!

Ceremony time!

Congratulations to the newest Mr & Mrs in town!

I headed over to the Grand Forks Country Club right away to get some table photos before the guests arrived. What a fun airy venue!

The dance started right around sunset with golden light flooding the floor.

Let’s get this wedding party started!!!
