End of life photo session of a pet | Kris Kandel Photographer

When I got an email about doing an end of life session for a beloved yellow lab I was honored. Having made the heartbreaking choice to let a pet go, I know how special those last few days can be. I drove over to their property and got to watch this family absolutely love on their dog, give her all the pets, kisses, cuddles, and special treats. Just look at that beautiful white face, you can tell she adores her family as much as they love her.

As the sun set I said my goodbye, this sweetie slowly walked me to my car and seemed to be telling me thank you. Rest well dear heart.

Being a photographer is such a privilege, to be part of the most intimate moments in a families life. Thank you.
