Do you remember Jordan & Aaron’s mini session this winter for save the date photos? Well it’s finally time for their real engagement session! We had quite the adventure! It was the only day these lovely folks were in town and of course we had a thunderstorm roll through! Not just a little storm, but a DOWNPOUR! I called Jordan and we figured if we bumped their starting time up an hour we’d miss the majority of it. I arrived at our location 1/2 hour early just to scout around and as it poured I ran to a gazebo. I was sitting in there with 4 strangers thinking to myself “How are we going to do this session with an audience in this small gazebo?!” But thankfully just as Jordan & Aaron drove up the rain cleared off. Whew!!

Jordan & Aaron asked to include fishing into their engagement session! Jordan had bought this special lure and I had the idea to dangle the engagement ring off of it. So fun when we can partner in ideas for photos!! : D

We found this dock by the red river which turned out to be a fun spot!

Then we walked down the river path stopping here and there for fun backgrounds. By this point we all had mud up to our knees from the puddles, but oh well. You’ll notice I hid their feet behind tall grasses or did close up shots after this, lol! Thanks for being good sports about it all!!

When the thunderstorm was rolling through earlier in the day I called the Library to set up a time to use their space just in case it was still pouring. So we decided to end our session there since we had the appointment!

It’s always fun for me to use architecture in photos!

Thanks for an amazing session you two! And thanks for being flexible with the weather. I’m so glad it turned out perfect for you in the end. 😀
