Fargo Winter Wedding At St Mary’s Downtown | Raina & Connor | Kris Kandel Photographer

I was so excited to start off my 2018 wedding season on the first weekend of January! Raina & Connor’s day started at St Mary’s Cathedral in downtown Fargo. Since it was ridiculously cold outside we decided to do the first look indoors in the sanctuary, sort of recreating walking down the aisle.

Isn’t it just the most beautiful church? I love that the Christmas lights were still up for the first weekend in January!

Inspite of the -27 below zero wind chills (and it was WINDY!) we decided to brave it for 10 minutes of outdoor photos. #worthit

Then back inside to warm up and round up the wedding party!

We started with the guys since they were wearing three piece suits, so they could be out the longest. 😉

Raina was so smart to get shawls for all her ladies!

Cuddle close and stay warm!!

Ten minutes later we all rushed indoors to warm up again. How cool is this view of the sanctuary filled with the wedding party!

Everytime we had a few minutes waiting for someone I happily photographed all the BEAUTIFUL details! Raina’s Flowers were some of the most unique I’ve ever seen. And I LOVED her dress showing off her tattoo. Plus her birdcage veil. And Christmas light backgrounds. Gah. Too  much fun!

 

After all the portraits, formals and family photos it was time for the ceremony.

The lovely reception and dance were held at the Doubletree Inn and Suites in West Fargo.

I loved the dance background: woodland themed with sparkling lights and a wonderful New Year vibe!

Raina danced with both her parents and there was hardly a dry eye in the room.
