Grand Forks UND Engagement Session | Lindsey & Matt | Kris Kandel Photographers

 

I met Lindsey last year at Ashley & Tyler’s wedding where she was a personal attendant, so I was really excited when she contacted me about her own wedding!

Matt & Lindsey met  at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, living down the hall from each other in the dorms. Matt had to pursue her at first, but she soon realized that he was something special. The rest … well it’s pretty obvious he put a ring on it!

Because Grand Forks and UND campus are so special to them Matt & Lindsey asked me to come up to Grand forks for their session. It was pretty fun to explore a new area!!

This golden tree will be forever remembered for putting us over our time limit in the parking lot by one minute. UND parking ticket, oops.

But WOWZERS the photos are amazing. Worth it?? I hope so!

Matt is stationed down south so we only had one day that he was in town that would work for us to do their engagement session. They had hoped for some fall colors, but it was still pretty much green everywhere. So when I noticed the golden sunlight turning the trees I thought it was the perfect background to imitate or fake  fall color!

Breathtaking.

And as the sun went down the horizon we made two really quick stops. One at the Ralph Engelstad Arena with their jerseys.

And  final stop: Ruth Noren Hall Dorm, where this whole love story began.
