New Years Eve was a record cold day here in Fargo, -47 degrees wind chills, but Grace and Jonah were great sports and insisted we continue with the plan of some outdoor photos!! We would take five minutes to run out, then run in and warm our fingers and toes, then run out again. Everyone laughed and made jokes, keeping it festive and fun in spite of the crazy temps.

The Sanctuary Event center is still a fairly new venue in town, so it’s always fun to find new angles to show it off.

We started with the first look in the courtyard:

Time to run in and warm up, then headed across the street to some amazing pine trees covered in fresh snow. It was beyond gorgeous!!

Then while Grace warmed up we took the guys outside.

Ladies turn, including the personal attendants in their short dresses. Brave women!! The color theme was gold and silver for New Years Eve, so the sequin dresses didn’t really give the bridesmaids much warmth, but they sure looked good.

Boys turn again to brave the cold. They wanted to do some fun photos so we recreated Abby Road from the Beatles, and an “awkward family photo” with ridiculous smiles. I love it when friends are goofy together!

Ladies turn again. Simply stunning!!

And finally, just as twilight started to arrive at 4:15 we got a few photos of everyone together! Perfect timing!

Grace and Jonah met on the track team at NDSU so we had to finish off with a ‘Starting line’ pose. Ready to run into their future together!!

After family photos I worked on some details.

And then it was time to walk down the aisle.

   

First dances are always so special.
