Aly & Aaron’s wedding was pretty special to me because Aly’s mom is good friends with my Aunt & Uncle! So not only was I invited to be part of a special day, but I got to bump into my relatives all day too! : D How fun is that?!
Time sure flew since their engagement session last fall! And what a gorgeous wedding day it turned out to be! I drove down to Wahpeton to Evergreen Methodist Church at about noon where Aly was getting ready.
First look time!!
We decided to stick around the church since it had nice greenery and plenty of park-like options for photos!
I noticed a field across the road so we headed over for a few photos featuring the big North Dakota skies!
Love!!
Giggles and laughter are the best thing on wedding days!
The next one reminded me of the quote: “It doesn’t matter where you go in life, it’s who you have beside you that makes it worthwhile” – Unknown
Comfortable (adorable) lace sneakers for the bride, always a smart choice! And cowboy boots in the wedding colors for the groom? Yes please!
I think the next one is my favorite! So gorgeous!!
Aaron made the sign: Mr & Mrs Stone!
For their guest book Aly & Aaron had people sign this home made quilt! Isn’t that a fun idea?!
The wedding party was great!
Playing under the Veil with the flower girl. Awwww!
And this little guy. So cute!
Aaron’s ring was so unique! I’ve never seen a hunting ring before, really cool.
After family photos it was already time for the ceremony!! The ring bearer picked up the petals after the flower girl threw them down, then proceeded to hand them off to the groom, lol! So cute!
Here comes the bride!
Aly & Aaron decided to do a painting instead of a Unity candle. They dripped pain on a canvas that will later hold a photo in the heart shaped cut-out. It’s the first time I’ve seen this at a wedding! Fun how people are finding new and unique ways to symbolize Unity!
Then we headed over to the Wahpeton Eagles club for the reception!
Lots of fun details!! I love how they included the traditional Norwegian wedding cake!
The newest Mr & Mrs!!
Since I was hired for 6 hours and that time was coming to an end the couple decided to have their first dance right away, which was pretty cool!
Congratulations Aly & Aaron! Thank you for inviting me to be part of your big day!! I hope you have enjoyed these personal favorites of mine. I’ll be getting the link to download all your photos sent over to you next week! : )
