For those who didn’t know it I was on a 10 day family vacation to New York City last week so even though I did about 80% of the edits before I left I couldn’t finish a whole wedding in 3 days! Thankfully Nate & Naomi were awesome about it, and told me not to worry about the extra week to get their images back. How awesome are they!?
I knew from their Engagement session that their wedding was going to be fantastic, and I was right! So many fun details, lovely colors, and fun people!!
Some of you may recognize this church – I photographed Alicia and Ross’s wedding there 3 years ago. Sacred Heart in Grand Forks, a fabulous place to photograph in, so I was excited when Nate & Naomi told me they were getting married here!
We were running a little schedule behind at first, so photo time was a bit short, but we managed to get a LOT of gorgeous images and caught up to our timeline quickly. You guys were awesome!!
Loved these images under the tree! Thanks to my sister for 2nd shooting and finding some awesome alternative angles!
I caught this next image of Naomi in an in between moment. Perfection!
The next image from my sister is just cool. Very artistic.
Then about 15 mintues with the wedding party (don’t worry we did some more after the ceremony!!). Thanks for being sports about the windy situation!
Everyone was soooo happy! Love it when wedding parties are full of joy!
When we went inside for family time my assistant got these great images of Grandma seeing the ring. Love!!
And then it was time for the ceremony!!
I thought it was so cute when the flower girl had to stop at the front to get her photo taken by all the family members!
Congratulations MR & MRS!!!
After directing guests to the reception cocktail hour we walked across the street to take some photos at the dike with some giant balloons (which were weirdly were very sensitive, three popped over the evening!)
It was soooo windy, but it made for lovely photos with the veil and dress blowing!
As the couple took a little break I headed over to the Gorecki Alumni Center at UND for the reception! Nate & Naomi are both architects who had a hand in helping with the drawings for the UND Alumni Center, so it was such a special place for them to have their wedding reception! I found out later that one of my other grooms this year (remember Claire & Mike’s western wedding?) helped to fit the windows!! What a small world.
It was a GORGEOUS place for a wedding!! Wow. The light, the lines and angles, and of course Nate & Naomi put in a lot of effort with the details. It came together so well!
We did a couple more portraits around UND Alumni Center, trying to feature the architecture and bring in all those elements that Nate & Naomi love!
Again, thanks sis for the great alternate angles!!
Reception time!!
I love first dances!
The last shot of the day – all the NDSU architect graduates had to get under the UND sign and let out their NDSU pride, lol!! Too funny!
Thanks so much for a fabulous day!! I loved working with you and extra thanks for letting me go on vacation right afterwards without worrying about delivering the blog that week. Thanks!!! 🙂
