Fargo Air Museum Wedding | Bailey + Chance | Kris Kandel Fargo Wedding Photographer

Posted in: fargo, weddings

October 4th was another drizzly wedding day – but Bailey and Chance didn’t let that bother them at all!! They were so excited about getting married a few raindrops and cold wind were’t going to get in their way. After Bailey was ready we noticed the rain had stopped so we went outside the church into the courtyard for a few outdoor photos.

Bailey loves sunflowers (we even did a few of their engagement photos in a sunflower field!), so I thought it was pretty neat that the fall colors cooperated and lent their yellow to match her theme. So pretty!

Then, even though the wind was super cold, we headed out to a little park for 15 minutes with the wedding party! Poor girls were freezing!

Pocket watches with their names engraved on them. What a neat groomsman gift!

I absolutely love it when couples laugh together!

Midway through our portrait time Chance was being silly and Bailey was trying to keep him in line. Well then the guy’s ran into his defense and of course the girls couldn’t leave that challenge unmet!

LOL, so funny  when things happen spontaneously like this – no prompting from me!

Ok, back to the romantic photos:

I love the next two photos!!

After our quick 15 minutes in the park it started to rain! Perfect timing as we got into the cars and headed back to the church.

While the wedding party warmed up I headed out into the drizzle again to do some detail shots of the rings in the courtyard.

And then it was time to walk down the aisle.

Mr & Mrs!!

Everyone headed out on the party bus and my assistant and I went on ahead to the Fargo Air Museum where the reception was held. I absolutely love working at the Air Museum for receptions. It has such a colorful fun vibe in there! As I was taking detail shots of the tables the mother of the Groom came to me with the pair of shoes (below) and asked me to take a photo of them. They belonged to a grandfather – he wore them on his wedding day and it has become a tradition in the family to have the shoes as part of every wedding!  I had fun with some dramatic lighting to make those shoes look as special as the story that goes with them. : )

When the wedding party showed up we had a few minutes to get a couple of fun photos with the planes before dinner started!

Love the dip/kiss shot below!!
After dinner and the toasts the parents also came and gave a few words – it was quite emotional, but only happy tears of course!

The first dance is one of my favorite parts of the day!

After dancing with his mom Chance brought her over to her table where there was a special book waiting for her (Love You Forever). It was one she read to him a lot as a child. How sweet is that?!

Let’s get this wedding dance going!!!

After the dollar dance the winner (or rather looser) got a cupcake in the face!

And that’s how I left them for the evening. Covered in frosting and having a grand time! : )

Thanks so much for a fabulous day!
