When Heather contacted me about doing a photo session with their dogs I was so excited! I met these lovely boys at Heather & Nick’s engagement session almost 5 years ago, so I couldn’t wait to see them again (And of course Heather & Nick, I haven’t seen Nick since the wedding!).
As fun as all of this is there was an unspoken request to focus on photos of Maverick (the Dane) since he’s been having health and age related issues. As someone who’s lost a loved dog just a few years ago I KNOW how much these photos are going to be treasured when he crosses that rainbow bridge. It’s one of the reasons that I’m so passionate about including pets into engagement and family sessions, or just having pet sessions by themselves … they never stay with us long enough.
The boys did SOOOO good! They seemed to really enjoy hamming it up for the camera and then coming over and sticking their noses in my treat bag. 🙂

Thank you for trusting me to capture these priceless moments! I just loved getting to see you all again, it’s so hard to believe it’s been a few years already!
Such fun giving out treats, ear scratches, and playing with squeaky toys!!
