Fargo Wedding Photography | Erin & Erik | Kris Kandel Photographer

Posted in: fargo, weddings

Erin booked me to be her wedding photographer last year, as we sat talking in the coffee shop we realized that her husband’s cousin was one of my past clients! So not only was I going to get to work with Erin and Erik but I’d get to work with Carl (see Carl & Amanda’s wedding here)  and several of the same characters that were in his wedding party! I knew right away this couple was going to be great, and their engagement session just proved it.

The wedding day dawned bright and hot. A perfect summer day.

The first look between and bride and groom is always so much fun! Just look at those smiles – can’t contain the joy!

I just love the way these turned out by the fence, smiles and laughter, so much excitement!

Right beside the church were two amazing trees that we used. First off the crab apple tree. Love that touch of early fall. And how gorgeous is Erin?!

Thanks to my 2nd shooter (sis) for these fun angles!

Then over to the maple tree which was just on the edge of turning colors. Love the soft greens.

The ladies were ready to go so as we waited for the guys to finish up getting pinned with boutonnieres we had a little bit of girl time. Such a great bunch of ladies!! Sassy, fun, and a great number to work with for different combinations.

Guy’s turn. This is where the jokes and laughs really started turning up.

Patrick holding Erik’s head so casually cracked everyone up!

Then we headed inside for a few formals.

Erik wanted to do some jumping shots with the guys so we decided to do a couple of takes. On the last take (below image on the right) all the groomsmen (without telling Erik) let the groom jump alone, which had everyone laughing in the whole building!

After family photos I did some detail shots of the rings and flowers. It’s always fun to get creative with these!

Before you now it the ceremony time starts. (spot the photographer -me – in the photo on the right!)

One of the couple’s friends had this tailgating buss for NDSU Bison games, which of course made a great party bus to take the couple to the HoDo for drinks after the ceremony!

A sweet moment realizing they were really married!!

Then out came the shots.

One of the groomsmen grabbed the brides hand and this happened with the salt:

You never know what will happen at this point in the day, lol!

My assistant and I headed over to the reception to cover a few details and the grand entrance before our contracted time finished up.

Thanks so much for an amazing day you two! It was a lot of fun, relaxed, and so full of happiness. Thank you!
