Last week I was pretty excited to photography my cousin and her fiance! It was so fun to go out and not have to do the whole “getting to know each other” thing – instead we could just laugh and enjoy the evening.
I think the bottom right photo is one of my favorites from the day. Such happy smiles! Well, John has more of a smirk but that’s who he is so it’s perfect. ; )
My other favorite image: we found ONE branch with apple blossoms on it but it worked out perfectly. I love the way John is squeezing Mckayla so affectionately!
As the evening progressed the clouds rolled in on the horizon. It was perfect lighting, still sunset light shining on us and the dark clouds in the distance creating drama. I wish I could order weather sometimes because this is what I’d choose!
Actually I was pretty glad this session was family because we had a few issues along the way. First of all I hadn’t noticed but my car needed gas, so we had to make a pit stop. Which turned out fine since Mckayla could change outfits there. Then later as we were leaving the park I noticed my keys which hang on a clip were no longer attached to my camera bag. Good grief! How embarrassing! We scoured all the locations we had used at the park and finally found the keys! Whew. I told Mckayla and John at least they had a story to tell about their engagement shoot! ; )
