Oakes ND Wedding | KariAnn & Louis | Kris Kandel Photographer

Posted in: weddings

When I met with KariAnn & Louis last fall to book their wedding they told me it was going to be a beauty & the beast theme! So keep your eyes out for details in the photos that point back to that story. Red roses in particular. 🙂

It was very windy & cold the day of the wedding but we did some photos outside anyway. Love the colors of fall!

And the wind in KariAnn’s dress was sooo fun! Although her veil kept blowing away, so we finally just set it aside for indoor photos.

When they got too cold we went into the little Lutheran church where KariAnn grew up. It wasn’t the location of their ceremony but it meant a lot to her to have a few photos inside! Aren’t her boots fun?! And I love how Louis can make KariAnn crack up at any moment!

Once we were warmed up it was back outside for a few more photos. Again, loving the wind and movement in her dress!

Then we met the wedding party for some photos. Notice the one red groomsman & bridesmaid – representing the one red rose from Beauty & the Beast.

Back at the church we had lunch and did family photos before heading out front with the bride & groom for a few photos with KariAnn’s dad’s classic cars!

I don’t normally love black & white photos but these seemed so timeless!

Since her stones in the wedding band and engagement ring were green I found a patch of moss for a few ring shots. Love these!!

Ceremony time!

KariAnn & Louis were so excited to be married they forgot the kiss at the end of the service, just walked down the aisle! 🙂

Then we drove to Verona, a tiny town that has converted their old high school into a hunting lodge and reception space. Lots of Beauty & the Beast details here.

KariAnn’s relatives made the chandelier, pretty neat!

The toasts & cake cutting were quite the event!

Time for the first dance!

Then their daughter joined them for the last of the first dance.

Baby A wanted in on the fun when the groom was dancing with his mom!

Let’s get this party started!

Thank you KariAnn & Louis for trusting me with your day! I’ll be in touch soon with your link of images and album design. 🙂
