I met Jeff last year at his brother’s wedding, and was really excited when he and Amanda said they wanted me to photograph their wedding too! We had a great time doing their engagement photos, chatting about their big day out at the Oxbow Country Club and Golf Course! We talked about how gorgeous the course is and hoped the trees would be in full color. Well the day came and wasn’t quite what we had all hoped for, it was POURING! Not just a little drizzle, but full on soaking rain. And it lasted until well after dinner that night. So I grabbed my extra flashes, and we made it work!
Loved the first look on the Oxbow Country Club dance floor.
So gorgeous!
And just in case you don’t believe me about the extent of pouring rain my 2nd photographer (thanks mom!) got this amazing shot out the window as I was doing the wedding party photos!
The country club had a little drive through shelter right outside the door, so we stood under the roof and got a few ‘outdoor’ shots. If you look carefully in some of them you can see the rain streaking down behind. But it was a great spot for an outdoor look and also some family photos. : )
This little guy was trying to see the birds his mom told him were inside my camera. ; )
Loved this little corner right by the front door!
Then I ran inside and grabbed a few overview shots of the building and pretty details before we headed over to the church!
At the church we had a few formal shots up front and then a couple more nontraditional uses for the space.
Love the silhouettes. : )
As guests started to arrive I did some detail work while the bride and groom took a break.
Before you know it it’s time to walk down that aisle.
Back at the Oxbow Country Club!
I love cake photos, it’s one of those things that’s really satisfying as a photographer. When you get out your dramatic lights and make it even more gorgeous than it already is!
As a gift the little ring bearer received a construction outfit, he was so excited running around hammering chairs and sawing the head table. So cute!!
Love this next photo!!
And then it was time to dance the night away!
Thanks for being such great sports about the rain and trusting me to capture your day in the gorgeous way it was!! It was perfect in it’s own way!
