I met Stacey at Megan and Michael’s wedding last summer when she was a bridesmaid. It’s always very special when a bridesmaid asks me to photograph her own weddings! What a huge compliment!
Stacey wanted a few winter photos for a save the date image, but as soon as it snowed this year it went right to -10 below zero, way too cold to do photos! So we kept in touch. And the temps kept dropping, -20, -30, -50!!! Yes, Fargo was colder than both the north and south poles, AND colder than the face of mars. Why does anyone live here?
Anyway this week we had a heat wave with temps above zero so we finally got together for the mini session!
It’s always fun when couples bring their dogs for their engagement photos!
The next photo is one of my favorites!
Or maybe the next one. I always have a hard time picking a favorite!
After 15 minutes (yes we were quick!) both Stacey and Andy were getting pretty cold, so we had a little “snow ball fight” – only it’s still too cold for real snow balls so it ended up being a snow shower fight, lol! And then called it a wrap.
Thanks for being good sports about getting all wet and cold in the snow! I can’t wait for your longer engagement session this summer!

[…] excited about Stacey & Andrew’s portraits because we’d had so much fun doing their winter mini session & engagement session in downtown Fargo earlier this year! Love how much they laugh […]
