You better make yourself a big bowl of popcorn because I’m telling you right now this is going to be a record long post!!
Kristina and Brian have been awesome since the day I met them. Kristina was a bridesmaid in Randa and Tyler’s wedding last year and we hit it off right away! When we met up for our first meeting we ended up chatting over coffee for over an hour about random stuff before we even talked about photography – it was awesome! We ended up doing two engagement sessions – the mini winter session for save the dates, and a longer session this spring. After spending so much time together I knew that their wedding day was going to be something special. And boy was I right.
First off the day was perfection. Gorgeous blue skies, THE peak weekend for fall colors – you couldn’t have picked a more perfect day if you had the ability to plan for it!!
We decided to do as much outside as possible because it was just too beautiful. Including the first look – have I mentioned lately how much I love the first look photos??!! Seriously fabulous.
I brought my sister with me as a 3rd assistant to this wedding (she’s been shadowing me a bit this summer to see if she’d like to become part of the team next year. Love the photos she got (the next two)!!
Can you smile any bigger Kristina? Soooo happy!!!
Next shot was taken by my sis – I think I need to watch out or she’s going to take over my job, lol!
Gaaahh I can’t help it, just have to post a ton of these. Can’t cut them down for the blog post!
Not only are Kristina and Brian awesome but their wedding party was amazingly fun too!
Like a BOSS!
Recreating the Bridesmaids movie poster:
Sassy much?!
Then we headed downtown Fergus Falls for some wedding photos by the Fergus Theater! Fergus has a really cute downtown area, it was so fun to be in a new place and be inspired to see things differently!
I’ve always loved red heads – and Kristina, you just make me love them even more! Soooo gorgeous!! Also, your veil was stunning!
I don’t normally post family photos on my blog, usually they are fairly stiff and only really interesting to the individual families. But seriously I’m LOVING so many of your family candid photos that my 2nd and 3rd shooter got while I was doing formals. I just had to share some. Maybe it will inspire some of your future brides looking at these … take your family photos outside, encourage your family to relax and be themselves! These are way more awesome than formals in a dark church!
Parents who are affectionate. So sweet!
And then it was time for the ceremony. You have the happiest grandparents – just look at how excited they were in the front row!
The father of the Bride surprised everyone and sang to Kristina right before handing her off. Soooo special!
Officially Mr. & Mrs. !!!!
Oh my gosh, love the photo of Brian wiping away your happy tears. *melting!*
While I was at the church taking photos of the arch and getaway car my assistants were already at the reception taking detail photos. Love my team!!!
But as much as I love my team, I get to do the cake. It’s MINE, lol!
Toasts included personalized baseball caps (F.O.B = Father of the Bride), a special bottle of Whiskey that the FOB had purchased the day Kristina was born, and two maids of honor battling it out for who said the most touching “last word” – each trying to out do the other and swiping the microphone back and forth ending up in a crazy, off key song that was hilarious!
And of course, lots of kissing. ; )
After the meal and toasts Brian took the groomsmen outside for cigars where we did some rock star photos!
First dance as husband and wife:
Love your swirly skirt all bustled up!!
Thank you sooooo much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. It has been such a joy to work with you both! Honestly, it’s weddings like yours, and more importantly, people like you that make me love my job so much!! Thank you for letting me into your life!
